Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw aka Elizabeth Alice MacGraw was an American actress, activist for animals and writer who was awarded numerous Awards. The actress is famous for movies like Love Story (1970) Goodbye Columbus (1969) as well as The Getaway (1972). The Getaway was released in 1972. New York, she was born into an creative family. She began working as a photo assistant later moved into acting and modeling. She was noticed in two of her films and won the Golden Globe Award for Most promising Newcomer. MacGraw quickly became famous following the success of her 1970 film Love Story. She was considered for nomination to the Academy Award and won a Golden Globe. Within just three short films MacGraw became the most popular female box office star across the globe. Her handprints, autograph and footprints were immortalized in 1972 at Grauman's Chinese Theater. Additionally, to The Getaway Convoy Players she also starred in the television miniseries The Winds of War. Moving Pictures is her autobiography released in 1991. MacGraw has been married three times.
