Zoe-perry

Perry was born in Chicago to actors Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. Her first appearance was on television in the role of Jackie Harris, a character that was played by her mother on the ABC sitcom Roseanne. Her parents did not allow her to begin acting with her parents till adulthood, as they feared the strain it might cause. Perry was shy in high-school and was not a performer. She began acting in the year 2000 at Northwestern University to gain friends when she transferred from Boston University. Perry managed to get tiny TV roles on Law & Order: Criminal Intent following her graduation. However, her homesickness led her back to California again where she began working on stage. Perry's mother and I appeared on Broadway as a couple as part of The Other Place, in 2013. Perry was in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize winner Anna Christie, along with Kevin McKidd. This was staged in the West Los Angeles' Odyssey Theatre Ensemble. Perry played a part in nine episodes on ABC's drama The Family during 2016. Her father played her character in The ABC Drama Scandal. The actress was also featured on the CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory spinoff Young Sheldon as a version younger Mary Cooper, Sheldon Cooper's mother. She got the part in an audition that was open despite having a connection to this role.
