Pickler was born Kellie dawn Pickler on June 28, 1986. The young woman had a troubled childhood. In order to leave an abusive relationship, her mother resigned when she was barely 2 years young. Then she returned to Pickler's life in 1995 and was given custody of her. It didn't go according to planned. Pickler was then 12 years old and was remanded to her parents by the judge. They took care of her till she was old enough to be an adult. Pickler was required to care of her kids without parents. According to her, because she was not able to devote time to studying, she began to master cooking and wash at a young time. Pickler was a member of the cheerleading teams of both high school and middle-school. North Stanly High School, where she was a graduate in 2004, was her alma mater.
